WASHINGTON, April 24, 2017 – WFSP Foods LLC., a Decatur, Ala. establishment, is recalling approximately 42,147 pounds of ready-to-eat chicken breast products due to undercooking, resulting in the potential survival of bacterial pathogens in the products, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.
The ready-to-eat grilled chicken breast items were produced on March 29, 2017 and April 7, 2017. The following products are subject to recall: [View Labels (PDF only)]
  • 9-lb. foodservice cases containing 8 poly film packages of “CHEF’S LINE ALL NATURAL FIRE GRILLED CHICKEN BREAST” with product code 22586, produced on 04/07/17, and Best by date 06/14/17.
  • 9-lb. foodservice cases containing 8 poly film packages of “saladworks FULLY COOKED FLAME GRILLED CHICKEN BREAST FILLETS” with product code 22500, produced on 03/29/17 and Use by date 06/05/17.  
The products subject to recall bear establishment number “P-45411” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to a distribution center in Illinois and further distributed to hotel, restaurant and institution locations nationwide.
The problem was discovered when the firm received multiple customer complaints that the ready-to-eat chicken products appeared to be undercooked.
There have been no confirmed reports of illness or adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.  
Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
FSIS routinely conducts recall effectiveness checks to verify recalling firms notify their customers of the recall and that steps are taken to make certain that the product is no longer available to consumers. WASHINGTON, April 22, 2017 – Campbell Soup Company, a Maxton, N.C. establishment, is recalling approximately 4,185 pounds of chicken soup products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The products contain milk, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label.
The chicken with whole grain pasta soup items were produced on Feb. 13, 2017. The following products are subject to recall: [View Label]
  • 18.6-oz. cans of “Campbell’s Homestyle Healthy Request Chicken with Whole Grain Pasta” with Best By date of Feb. 13, 2019 located on the bottom of the cans.
The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 4R” on the bottom of the cans. These items were shipped to retail locations in Florida.
The problem was discovered on April 20, 2017 when the firm received notification from their corporate office of multiple consumer complaints of the wrong product noticed inside the cans. The products were labeled as “Campbell’s Homestyle Healthy Request Chicken with Whole Grain Pasta” but actually contain “Campbell’s Homestyle Healthy Request Italian-Style Wedding Spinach & Meatballs in Chicken Broth” soup.
There have been no confirmed reports of adverse reactions due to consumption of these products. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare provider.

Frito-Lay today announced it is voluntarily recalling select Jalapeño Flavored Lay’s Kettle Cooked potato chips and Jalapeño Flavored Miss Vickie’s Kettle Cooked potato chips due to the potential presence of Salmonella in the seasoning. Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy persons infected with Salmonella often experience fever, diarrhea (which may be bloody), nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain. In rare circumstances, infection with Salmonella can result in the organism getting into the bloodstream and producing more severe illnesses such as arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms), endocarditis and arthritis.
This action is the direct result of a supplier’s recent recall of a seasoning blend which includes jalapeño powder that could contain Salmonella. Although no Salmonella was found in the seasoning supplied to Frito-Lay, the company has decided to recall these products out of an abundance of caution.
No illness related to this matter has been confirmed to date.
The products covered by this recall were distributed in retail stores and via foodservice, vending and other channels throughout the U.S.
The specific recalled product information is listed below:
  • All sizes of the following two products that have a “guaranteed fresh” date of JUL 4 or prior printed on the front upper panel of the package:
    • Jalapeño Flavored Lay’s Kettle Cooked potato chips
    • Jalapeño Flavored Miss Vickie’s Kettle Cooked potato chips
  • All of the following multipack offerings that have a “use by” date of JUN 20 or prior printed on the multipack package. In addition, a “guaranteed fresh” date of JUL 4 or prior is printed on the front upper panel of the individual recalled product packages inside each multipack offering. Any other products or flavors contained in these multipacks are not being recalled.
    • 12 count Lay’s Kettle Cooked Multipack Sack
    • 20 count Frito-Lay Bold Mix Sack
    • 30 count Miss Vickie’s Multipack Tray
    • 30 count Lay’s Kettle Cooked Multipack Tray
    • 32 count Miss Vickie’s Multipack Box
No other flavors of Lay’s Kettle Cooked potato chips or Miss Vickie’s potato chips are impacted or being recalled. Jalapeño Cheddar Flavored Lay’s Kettle Cooked 40% Less Fat potato chips are not impacted or being recalled.
Consumers who have purchased these recalled products are advised not to consume them. Frito-Lay is working with the FDA on this recall to ensure the recalled products are removed from store shelves and are no longer distributed.

Hummingbird Wholesale of Eugene, Oregon is recalling 5lbs of Organic Cocoa-Dusted Chocolate Ginger, because it may contain undeclared hazelnut. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to hazelnut run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
Product was distributed to Capella Market in Eugene, Oregon and sold in their self-serve bulk food section from April 11th, 2017 through April 17th, 2017 The label below was attached to the bulk bin from which the affected product was offered. The product containing hazelnuts can be identified as dark brown spheres with a cocoa powder coating.
No illnesses have been reported to date.
The recall was initiated after it was discovered that product containing Hazelnut was distributed in packaging that did not reveal the presence of Hazelnut.
This recall is being made with the knowledge of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.

McCain Foods USA, Inc. announced today it is voluntarily recalling retail, frozen hash brown products that may be contaminated with extraneous golf ball materials, that despite our stringent supply standards may have been inadvertently harvested with potatoes used to make this product. Consumption of these products may pose a choking hazard or other physical injury to the mouth.
The impacted products include the following: Roundy’s Brand, 2 lb. Bag of Frozen Southern Style Hash Browns (UPC 001115055019) and Harris Teeter Brand, 2 lb. Bag of Frozen Southern Style Hash Browns (UPC 007203649020).
The Roundy’s products were distributed at Marianos, Metro Market, and Pick ‘n Save supermarkets in the states of Illinois and Wisconsin. The Harris Teeter products were distributed in the states of North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, District of Columbia, Delaware, Florida, Georgia and Maryland. Distribution occurred after the date of January 19, 2017. No other products under the respective brands are impacted by this recall.
The products being recalled were manufactured on January 19, 2017. The production code date is B170119 and can be found on the back of the packaging. Any product with a different production code date is not impacted by this recall.
Consumers who have purchased these products are urged not to consume them. These products should be thrown away or returned to the place of purchase.
There have been no reported injuries associated with the consumption of this product.

La Granja INC of Doraville Georgia is recalling 4000 units of Hand crafted Paleteria, Mango Flavored Ice cream, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella Enteritidis, an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms pain and diarrhea. Long term complications can include severe arthritis.
The ice cream was distributed in Georgia, Alabama, North Carolina and South Carolina through retail stores, by direct delivery.
The popsicle comes in a clear bag with La Granja logo, Mango Flavor Ice Cream and the dates of expiration are 210218 (February 21, 2018) and 280218 (February 28, 2018). UPC code 0010439212.
No illnesses have been reported to date.
The recall was a result of a routine sampling program by The Georgia Department of Agriculture. The company has ceased the production and distribution of the product as the FDA and the company continue their investigation as to what cause the problem. TP Food Processing, Inc. of Westminster, CA is recalling Lemongrass Satay; and Shrimp Satay (Lot code 2016) because the acidified sauces were not properly produced making them susceptible to contamination with Clostridium botulinum.  No illnesses, customer complaints, or illnesses have been reported to date.

The sauces were distributed at supermarkets located in California.
Symptoms of Clostridium botulinum typically begin with blurred or double vision followed by trouble speaking and swallowing, then progress to muscle weakness starting in the upper body and moving downward.  Botulism can lead to life-threatening paralysis of breathing muscles requiring support with a breathing machine (ventilator) and intensive care. http://www.cdph.ca.gov/HealthInfo/discond/Pages/Botulism.aspx
People experiencing these symptoms who have recently eaten Lemongrass Satay and Shrimp Satay should seek immediate medical attention.
TP Food Processing, Inc. immediately segregated its entire inventory of Lemongrass Satay and Shrimp Satay is notifying consumers and customers not to consume them.  TP Food Processing, Inc wants to ensure its products are safe.  Consequently, in addition to its ongoing cooperation with the California Department of Public Health, TP Food Processing, Inc. is voluntarily recalling all Lemongrass Satay and Shrimp Satay from its customers.  Consumers in possession of these products should not eat them, rather product should be returned to the place of purchase.
