The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has been made aware of this recall. No other Snyder of Berlin products were affected. This is an isolated incident.
To date, there have been no reported illnesses associated with this product. Food contaminated with Salmonella may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Young children, pregnant women, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems may contract serious and sometimes deadly infections. Healthy people may experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, vomiting, nausea, abdominal cramps and diarrhea. Long-term complications may include severe arthritis. If you believe that you became sick from consuming a recalled product, seek medical attention immediately.

VanLaw Food Products, Inc. is initiating a voluntary recall of WinCo Brand Ranch Dressing with code date of Best By 08/23/17. The back label was mislabeled with WinCo Fat Free Ranch Dressing label, and in particular the label is missing an egg allergen declaration. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to eggs run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume this product.
The products were distributed to a limited numbers of WinCo stores in Arizona, Idaho, California, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Washington. There are approximately 460 cases that may have been purchased by consumers with this particular code date of 08/23/17. The code can be found above the back label on the bottle. No other WinCo Foods products and/or code dates are involved by this voluntary recall.
VanLaw Food Products, Inc. initiated the recall after it was discovered that a limited amount of WinCo Ranch Dressing were mislabeled with the back label of WinCo Fat Free Ranch Dressing. No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this mislabeling.

Poppies International, Inc. of Battleboro, NC is issuing a voluntary recall of all products that were made with custard powder containing affected milk ingredients supplied by a secondary supplier, Valley Milk Products LLC, due to the possible presence of Salmonella.  Although no pathogenic bacteria have been found in any of our ingredients or in any of our products, we have decided to recall products produced using the affected ingredient from this supplier. No illnesses or adverse health effects resulting from these events have been reported to date.
Salmonella is a bacterium that can cause diarrhea, fever, and abdominal cramps, and most individuals recover without treatment. In some cases, diarrhea may be so severe that the patient needs to be hospitalized. The elderly, infants, and those with impaired immune systems are more likely to have a severe illness.
Any consumers who have purchased or received any of the products described below should immediately discontinue use of the product and return it to the place of purchase for a full refund. Cranberry Orange Scones were distributed and sold at ten locations in Spokane and Spokane Valley, WA between December 12 and December 13, 2016.

No illnesses have been reported to date.

The recall is due to a recall of an ingredient used in manufacturing these products. Valley Milk Products reported that certain lots of dry milk they manufactured have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. While Pistachio Crème does not contain the ingredient, it is made on the same production line as Tropical Fruit Supreme and Pineapple Nut Delight therefore we are recalling it as well.

Arcadia Trading Inc. of Brooklyn, NY, is recalling 34 cartons of Lizard Fish because they have the potential to be contaminated with Clostridium botulinum, a bacterium which can cause life-threatening illness or death.  Consumers are warned not to consume the product even if it does not look or smell spoiled. 
Botulism, a potentially fatal form of food poisoning, can cause the following symptoms: general weakness, dizziness, double- vision, and trouble with speaking or swallowing.  Difficulty in breathing, weakness of other muscles, abdominal distension and constipation may also be common symptoms.  People experiencing these problems should seek immediate medical attention.
The Lizard Fish was distributed nationwide to supermarkets between 2/11/2014 and 7/8/2016.
The product was imported from Vietnam and is packed in uncoded bulk 15 kg boxes.    
No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this problem. 
The potential for the contamination was noted by an FDA Investigator during a follow-up inspection.  Subsequent FDA analysis of the product confirmed that the fish was not properly eviscerated prior to processing.  The company has ceased distribution of the product.

WASHINGTON, DEC. 15, 2016 – R&R Provision Company Inc., an Easton, Pa. establishment, is recalling approximately 23,040 pounds of breaded veal products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today. The products contain whey and nonfat milk, known allergens which are not declared on the product label. 
The breaded veal items were produced from April 14, 2016 through November 17, 2016. The following products are subject to recall: [View Labels (PDF Only)]
  • 5.3-OZ. Plastic sealed packages containing 30 pieces of “BREADED VEAL STEAKS” bearing package code RR27-4102.
  • 7.5-OZ. Plastic sealed packages containing 20 pieces of “BREADED VEAL STEAKS” bearing package code RR27-4142.
  • 5.3-OZ. Plastic sealed packages containing 30 pieces of “BREADED VEAL STEAKS” bearing the package code RR27-4122.

The products subject to recall bear establishment number “EST. 1081” inside the USDA mark of inspection. These items were shipped to restaurants in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and sold at the establishment’s retail store.
The problem was discovered on December 14, 2016 by FSIS Inspection Program Personnel (IPP) while performing routine labeling verification activities.  The establishment received a letter from their breading supplier specifying the incorporation of new ingredients listed above but the change was not carried over onto the final product labels.
